SSR Qasr Sultanate Kalim Card Analysis

A cream graphic with Kalim on it, loaded with black text covering the basic info of this card

Basics
Kalim is a SSR Attack unit. His max HP is 10,004 and his max attack is 7,000.

Spells
His spell 1 is Zero Ray, his spell 2 is Water Shot 2 and later Aqua Wave 2, and his spell 3 is Void Shot 2.

Exam Rankings
When it comes to exams, I'd give this card a D for flora exams, B for fire, and D for water.

Skills
For skills, he’s got nullify freeze and damage boost. On spell 1 at level 1, he has a nullify freeze for allies for 1 turn. At level 5, it’s for 3 turns. That’s as far as it goes and there’s nothing on level 10.
Over on on spell 3, he starts off with a minor damage boost to caster for 1 turn. At level 5, it’s modest, and at level 10 it’s major.

Furniture
So like the other chapter 7 cards, this one has furniture instead of a vignette. You unlock each recipe with each vignette level. Level 1 is his outfit on a mannequin, level 2 is a themed frame, and level 3 is his magic carpet.

DUO Magic and Buddies
His DUO Magic Partner is Rook, who gives him a modest HP boost. His other Buddies are Sebek with a minor power boost and Floyd who gives him a minor HP boost.

Build Guide
In order to Groovy Kalim, you'll need to get him to power level 40 and vignette level 3. Groovying costs 5 Headdress candy. As for uncapping, he'll need 0-12 SSR Awakening Perfumes, with each uncap costing 3 Perfume.
Each spell individually needs 351 notepads, 253 textbooks, 111 grimoires, and 318,000 Thaumarks. Spell 1 needs these in white items, spell 2 needs blue, and spell 3 needs white. In total, that's gonna cost 954,000 Thaumarks.
Because he has nullify freeze on his spell 1 and doesn’t require a lot of items to max it out, I’d definitely build his spell 1 first over his spell 3.

Alternatives + Dupes
So let’s say you’re still on the fence about pulling for this Kalim, or maybe you did and he didn’t come home. What are some cards that could be replacements for him? Unfortunately, we have quite a few restrictions. At the time of me writing this, there’s no other void-water-void units, so there’s no spell-match options. And also, no R cards have nullify freeze, although there are some SRs with it. So uh. Yeah, finding a replacement for him is a little more tricky than normal.
All of that being said, I would personally suggest Spelldrive Uniform Epel,  Birthday Jacket Silver, Apprentice Chef Vil, and Halloween Costume Sebek.

Final Thoughts
Although he doesn’t rank in the top 10 highest attack, Kalim is still high up there when it comes to how powerful he is. That couples with his nullify freeze is just chef’s kiss to me. I like that not only is it super accessible being on spell 1, but you don’t have to go to level 10 to max it out. That means you’re saving on resources. Although I guess if I’m being honest, I do think it’s also a little bit of a double-edged sword. If you only have to go to level 5 for the skill, you’re probably gonna forgot or hesitate to get it to level 10, which in the end you really should since it’ll make that spell stronger regardless of if there’s a skill change at level 10.
But overall, I really like this card!

Arcane Combat Drills with Trein Guide

Overview Okay so. For some reason we’re getting another Arcane Combat Drills event. I can’t say that I like this at all, but unfortunately, it is what it is. If this isn’t your first rodeo, feel free to skip the rest of this paragraph and go straight into the map details. So this event has maps with tiles on them, and those tiles have a battle. If you’ve played through chapter 7, you’re already familiar with battle maps. If you haven’t, it’s basically just a glob of battles to get through with a final boss, Trein, at the way end. In order to get to Trein, you have to work your way across the battle map, beating every battle on every tile you pick. These battles all require a victory, so they all have infinite turns. If your team loses a battle, you have to pick a new one and go back into the battle. The enemies’ HP doesn’t reset though, so that’s nice. If you get an enemy down to 10,000 from 40,000 but lose, in the next attempt the enemy will have 10,000 HP still. On...

Arcane Combat Drills with Crewel Event Guide

Intro So we are unfortunately back at it again at Krispy Kreme. If you’ve been here before you know I don’t like these events. If you’re new, now you know. Although I do think the battle map events from this point on are a little more manageable, I can’t say that it’s like. That much of an improvement. Or that it’s overall a better experience. I’ve already explained these events in detail before, so if you already know what’s up, you can skip the next section to see the details about the maps. If this is your first battle map event, well first off I’m so sorry, but second don’t worry, I’ll explain the mechanics so you know what’s going on.  Overview So this event has maps with tiles on them, and those tiles have a battle. SSR Apple Pom Jamil

Basics Jamil is a SSR Attack unit. His max HP is 8,754 and his max attack is 7,506. I'm sure no one's surprised to see that while his attack is far above average, because of that, his HP is below average. Like I said earlier, he’s one of the strongest cards in the game at this point. Spells His spell 1 is Flame Blast, his spell 2 is Leaf Shot 2 and later Forest Strike 2, and his spell 3 is Water Shot 2. Exam Rankings So, how does this card rank for exams? I'd give him a B for flora, D for fire, and C for water. Skills For skills, he’s got nullify freeze, power boost, power boost again, and damage cut. On spell 1 at level 1, he has a nullify freeze for allies for 1 turn. At level 5, he gains a minor power boost to caster for 1 turn, and at level 10, it maxes out at a modest power boost. On spell 3, he starts off with nothing. You gotta get him to level 5 for additional skills. And when you get him to level 5, he gains a minor power boost to caster for 1 turn, and at level ...
