SSR Mermaid Fin Jade Card Analysis

A dark teal graphic with mermaid Jade on it loaded with text

Basics
Jade is a SSR Defense unit. His max HP is 13,899 and his max attack is 5,228.

Spells
His spell 1 is Aqua Wave, his spell 2 is Void Shot 2 and after some building Zero Ray 2, and his spell 3 is Water Shot 2.

Exam Rankings
When it comes to exams, I'd give this card a X for flora exams, A for fire, and C for water.

Skills
For skills, he’s got power drain and damage cut. On spell 1 at level 1, he has a tiny power drain on foes for 1 turn. At level 5, it’s minor, and at level 10, it maxes out at a minor power drain on foes for 2 turns. Yeah I don’t get it either, but yay it’s for 2 turns?
On spell 3, he starts off with a minor damage cut to foe for 1 turn. At level 5, it’s modest, and at level 10 it’s major.

Furniture
So, this card unfortunately doesn’t have a vignette. We got furniture. You unlock each recipe with each vignette level. Level 1 is one of those face cut-out things you see at theme parks and carnivals, level 2 is a themed frame, and level 3 is this thing. So fun but useless fact, on JP they literally call this item a “vignette” which on one hand lol because of EN, but on the other hand that name is AWFUL. Like what is that supposed to mean? I straight up did not know what that was supposed to be until I looked at the wiki to double checked I had translated his spell 1 right. The 2 turns thing got me nervous at the club.
But yeah anyways the name vignette is terrible, whoever on the wiki decided to rename it Jade’s Submarine Volcano Vignette is a million percent correct and their name is far, far better than just “vignette.”

DUO Magic and Buddies
His DUO Magic Partner is Kalim, who gives him a minor HP + power boost. His other Buddies are Rook and Trey, both with a minor HP boost.

Build Guide
In order to Groovy Jade, you'll need to get him to power level 40 and vignette level 3. Groovying costs 5 Dorsal Fin Candy. As for uncapping, he'll need 0-12 SSR Awakening Perfumes.
Now we got spells. Each spell needs 351 notepads, 253 textbooks, 111 grimoires, and 318,000 Thaumarks. Spell 1 needs these in blue items, spell 2 needs white, and spell 3 needs blue. In total, that's gonna cost 954,000 Thaumarks.
Because he can be mono water, it means you’re using twice as many blue items, so keep in mind that you’re gonna want to stockpile those in preparation of Jade. Should you want to fully max him out on day one, of course.
When it comes to what spell to prioritize, I don’t have anything to say, really. I don’t think one would be better than the other, so build whatever you want first.

Alternatives + Dupes
So let’s talk about alternative units to this Jade. My suggestions are Dorm Uniform Kalim, Silk Adorned Jamil, Labwear Epel, and Tropical Wear Azul. And also for a rare special mentions, if you need someone with a Kalim DUO Magic and Rook as a Buddy, Gala Couture Leona is decent and he almost made the list. His spells are what stopped me from putting him in the list, but in the off chance you’re mostly looking for someone for a Kalim and Rook team, you may want to consider that Leona.

Final Thoughts
Although his skills and stats aren’t super exciting for me, we do love a good mono water unit. Also also Jade is my favorite from Octavinelle, so there’s that too. But yeah I don’t have many thoughts on this Jade other than tweel enjoyers, good fucking luck man, I am so sorry they did this to you.

Arcane Combat Drills with Trein Guide

Overview Okay so. For some reason we’re getting another Arcane Combat Drills event. I can’t say that I like this at all, but unfortunately, it is what it is. If this isn’t your first rodeo, feel free to skip the rest of this paragraph and go straight into the map details. So this event has maps with tiles on them, and those tiles have a battle. If you’ve played through chapter 7, you’re already familiar with battle maps. If you haven’t, it’s basically just a glob of battles to get through with a final boss, Trein, at the way end. In order to get to Trein, you have to work your way across the battle map, beating every battle on every tile you pick. These battles all require a victory, so they all have infinite turns. If your team loses a battle, you have to pick a new one and go back into the battle. The enemies’ HP doesn’t reset though, so that’s nice. If you get an enemy down to 10,000 from 40,000 but lose, in the next attempt the enemy will have 10,000 HP still. On...

Arcane Combat Drills with Crewel Event Guide

Intro So we are unfortunately back at it again at Krispy Kreme. If you’ve been here before you know I don’t like these events. If you’re new, now you know. Although I do think the battle map events from this point on are a little more manageable, I can’t say that it’s like. That much of an improvement. Or that it’s overall a better experience. I’ve already explained these events in detail before, so if you already know what’s up, you can skip the next section to see the details about the maps. If this is your first battle map event, well first off I’m so sorry, but second don’t worry, I’ll explain the mechanics so you know what’s going on.  Overview So this event has maps with tiles on them, and those tiles have a battle. If you’ve played through chapter 7, you’re already familiar with battle maps. If you haven’t, it’s basically just a glob of battles to get through with a final boss, Crewel, at the way end. SSR Apple Pom Jamil

Basics Jamil is a SSR Attack unit. His max HP is 8,754 and his max attack is 7,506. I'm sure no one's surprised to see that while his attack is far above average, because of that, his HP is below average. Like I said earlier, he’s one of the strongest cards in the game at this point. Spells His spell 1 is Flame Blast, his spell 2 is Leaf Shot 2 and later Forest Strike 2, and his spell 3 is Water Shot 2. Exam Rankings So, how does this card rank for exams? I'd give him a B for flora, D for fire, and C for water. Skills For skills, he’s got nullify freeze, power boost, power boost again, and damage cut. On spell 1 at level 1, he has a nullify freeze for allies for 1 turn. At level 5, he gains a minor power boost to caster for 1 turn, and at level 10, it maxes out at a modest power boost. On spell 3, he starts off with nothing. You gotta get him to level 5 for additional skills. And when you get him to level 5, he gains a minor power boost to caster for 1 turn, and at level ...
