Sam's New Year Sale 2025 Event Guide

Overview

First thing's first, sorry for the weird formatting this page is probably going to have. I haven't written stuff in HTML in an extremely long time. I think the last time was like, 2014ish? Or whenever DA let people do things in a rich editor, or whatever it's called.

Anyways, so this event. If you’ve played the last 2 New Years events, you already know what’s going on. But for newer players, here’s the run-down.

Each day in the event brings a new story (up to a certain point) and new battles. Play these battles to earn fortune cookies. Those can be used in the event shop to buy a multitude of things, but the most important in my opinion is the special Key that lets you buy one of the new SR cards.

We have 4 new cards this year: SSR Rook, SR Ortho, SSR Trey, and SR Jade. All of them are in the gacha, but you can use that key I just mentioned to get with Ortho or Jade. If only we can do the same for SSRs. That Rook is the one Rook card that didn't come home to me on JP and honestly I'm still bitter about that. The links above are for their card pages, so feel free to see my full breakdown of them.

So, this event has furniture and we have 2 different ways of getting event paint. You can play guest room battles for paint, as per usual. You don’t actually have to do guest room battles IF you complete a certain amount of event battles. Doing all the event battles will net you 170 event paint, so that’s an option. You really only need 105, so if you just want one of everything, you wouldn’t even need to do all the battles. These furniture items only need event paint and normal materials.

We have a table, chair, partition, lantern, hearth, KOMA, flooring, and wallpaper. Yes, I really didn’t bother to try and translate the names this time around. What can I say, I’m lazy and have a load of other stuff to prep for January. But anyways, if you want to make one of everything, you will need 105 event paint, 71 wood, 13 cloth, 90 unique paint, 38 basic paint, 24 paper, 16 stones, and 17 sticks. I've just spent the last hour coding the battle tables, so forgive me for not wanting to do another one for the furniture. Maybe I should just start taking notes in the drafts of this blog so that way I don't have to transer stuff from my notes...

Anyways, now that we have everything else out of the way, let's talk about battles. Honestly I just didn't wanna deal with writing and formatting text after those tables so that's why we're talking about it last lmao. But yeah so this event has battles. Like, a lot of them. There’s a total of 63 battles for players. Luckily, not all of them are required, mind you, and in fact the majority are optional. But if you want rewards, you’re gonna need to buckle down and do them. Battles labelled Battle 1 are mandatory. As for Day 8, Battles 1-4 are all mandatory if I remember correctly. Everything else, however, if optional. I did them all to get this data but I'm gonna be so real with you guys, I don't think I'm gonna do them all for EN XD. But if you wanna do all of them, here's all the info you need.

Arcane Combat Drills with Trein Guide

Overview Okay so. For some reason we’re getting another Arcane Combat Drills event. I can’t say that I like this at all, but unfortunately, it is what it is. If this isn’t your first rodeo, feel free to skip the rest of this paragraph and go straight into the map details. So this event has maps with tiles on them, and those tiles have a battle. If you’ve played through chapter 7, you’re already familiar with battle maps. If you haven’t, it’s basically just a glob of battles to get through with a final boss, Trein, at the way end. In order to get to Trein, you have to work your way across the battle map, beating every battle on every tile you pick. These battles all require a victory, so they all have infinite turns. If your team loses a battle, you have to pick a new one and go back into the battle. The enemies’ HP doesn’t reset though, so that’s nice. If you get an enemy down to 10,000 from 40,000 but lose, in the next attempt the enemy will have 10,000 HP still. On...

Arcane Combat Drills with Crewel Event Guide

Intro So we are unfortunately back at it again at Krispy Kreme. If you’ve been here before you know I don’t like these events. If you’re new, now you know. Although I do think the battle map events from this point on are a little more manageable, I can’t say that it’s like. That much of an improvement. Or that it’s overall a better experience. I’ve already explained these events in detail before, so if you already know what’s up, you can skip the next section to see the details about the maps. If this is your first battle map event, well first off I’m so sorry, but second don’t worry, I’ll explain the mechanics so you know what’s going on.  Overview So this event has maps with tiles on them, and those tiles have a battle. SSR Apple Pom Jamil

Basics Jamil is a SSR Attack unit. His max HP is 8,754 and his max attack is 7,506. I'm sure no one's surprised to see that while his attack is far above average, because of that, his HP is below average. Like I said earlier, he’s one of the strongest cards in the game at this point. Spells His spell 1 is Flame Blast, his spell 2 is Leaf Shot 2 and later Forest Strike 2, and his spell 3 is Water Shot 2. Exam Rankings So, how does this card rank for exams? I'd give him a B for flora, D for fire, and C for water. Skills For skills, he’s got nullify freeze, power boost, power boost again, and damage cut. On spell 1 at level 1, he has a nullify freeze for allies for 1 turn. At level 5, he gains a minor power boost to caster for 1 turn, and at level 10, it maxes out at a modest power boost. On spell 3, he starts off with nothing. You gotta get him to level 5 for additional skills. And when you get him to level 5, he gains a minor power boost to caster for 1 turn, and at level ...
