Nightmare Suit Epel Card Analysis

Basics

Nightmare Suit Epel is a R card. To start with the basics, he’s a Balance unit, his max HP is 7623, and his max attack is 4384. Epel's stats are all right. They're both under the all cards' averages, but they're right at the R card averages so uh yeah. Average stats.

Spells

His spell 1 is Leaf Shot and his spell 2 is Fire Shot 2.

Exams Ranking

So I rank every card based on how well I think they’d do in exams. For this card, my rankings are B for flora, X for fire, and F for water.

Skills

This card has debuff removal for a skill. It's on spell 2 and it pops up at level 5, so you do have to build to get it. It's for allies and it doesn't grow at all.

Buddy Bonuses

His Buddy is Azul with a modest power boost.

Build Guide

You can get Epel by clearing chapter 2, part 22. To Groovy Epel, you’ll need to use 1 Nightmare Suit to actually groovy him. For his spells, spell 1 needs green items and spell 2 needs red. I would build spell 2 first in order to get that debuff removal.

Comparable Cards

So when it comes to comparable cards, there are SOME but we do need to curb expectations. Epel is the only rare card with debuff removal as of September 29, 2026, so that's not something we can dupe at all. Two cards I think are somewhat similar to this Epel are School Uniform Ace and Halloween Costume Jamil.
Ace is balance flora/fire and his stats are actually pretty close to Epel, so that's something. Jamil is also balance, but he's fire/flora as opposed to flora/fire so that IS a thing. He, like Ace, doesn't share a buddy with Epel. Yeah I'm not gonna lie I was staring at my comp finder despondent for a while seeing these were the closest cards to Epel.

Teammates

Things do fare a bit better when it comes to teammates, though, so that's something. Epel can act as a DUO Magic partner and give a buddy bonus to Dorm Rook.
He gives bonuses to Ceremonial Robes Ace, and Rabbit Wear Silver. He gets bonuses from Dorm Azul and Labwear Azul, and in that last card's case, Azul also gets a bonus from him.

Final Thoughts

Overall, while Epel's stats are just okay, his debuff removal makes him a super great budget card. Like 1) he's free so you can get him super easily. But 2) he's the only rare with debuff removal. Debuff removal isn't SSR exclusive obviously, but there are only 4 non-SSR cards that have debuff removal, and Epel is one of those cards. There is another event freebie that has debuff removal, Ceremonial Robes Grim, but Epel is by far the easiest to get between the two and overall, great rare card.

SSR Birthday Bloom Idia Card Analysis

Basics Idia is a SSR Attack unit. His max HP is 10,503 and his max attack is 6,665. Idia’s stats are solid. Great, even. Y’all know I look at the all cards averages and then just SSRs, and Idia’s stats are above all those averages except for one. His HP is below average for SSRs, but everything else is above average. That’s really good. Spells His spell 1 is Aqua Wave, his spell 2 is Fire Shot 2 and later Flame Blast 2, and his spell 3 is Void Shot 2. Exam Rankings When it comes to exams, I'd give this card a C for flora exams, B for fire, and D for water. So the theme this month has been characters’ skills bumping them up a bit when it comes to exams. Idia is the exact same way. Skills For skills, he’s got water boost, HP restoration, and damage cut. On spell 1 at level 1, he has a minor water boost to allies for 1 turn. At level 5, it’s modest, and at level 10, it maxes out at major. On spell 3, he starts off with nothing. At level 5, he gains a minor HP restoration, and...

SSR New Years Trey Card Analysis

Basics Trey is a SSR Attack unit. His max HP is 8,632 and his max attack is 7,667. Trey’s HP is below average when it comes to SSRs and all cards in general. However, his attack is above both of those averages. In fact, he’s actually the 7th strongest card in-game.   Spells His spell 1 is Zero Ray, his spell 2 is Leaf Shot 2 and later Forest Strike 2, and his spell 3 is Fire Shot 2.   Exam Rankings When it comes to exams, I'd give this card a C for flora exams, C for fire, and B for water.   Skills For skills, he’s got power boost twice and damage boost. On spell 1 at level 1, he has a minor power boost to caster for 1 turn. At level 5, it’s modest, and at level 10, it maxes out at major. On spell 3, he only gets that second skill at level 5. It’s a minor power drain on foes for 1 turn, and at level 10 he gains an additional minor damage boost to caster for 1 turn.   DUO Magic + Buddy Bonuses His DUO Magic Partner is Ortho with a modest HP boost. His other Bud...

The Harveston Sledathon Event Guide

Intro Kelkkarotu is here! I really love this event even though it took me 40 fucking polls just to get SR Sebek and I never did get Epel. Fun fact, this was the event that introduced the arrange feature, the one where you choose how characters wear like, their ceremonial robes with the hoods on or off, that feature. This event is super cute, so let's chat about it. Overview This is another stamp rally/hometown event and this time we're visiting Epel's hometown of Harveston. Players will have digital stamp cards to fill out and you get a stamp for completing a mission. Doing all the missions on a stamp card will get you a magical key. You'll also earn clocks from this and those can be used in the event shop. The other event item is apple pies. Get those from lessons and they can be used in the event shop or  raising spell levels, etc, etc. There's no battle for this event thank God. It has 2 twistunes, though. There's 5 books in the story, but that's typica...
