Playful Attire Kalim Card Analysis

Basics

Playful Attire Kalim is a SSR Attack card with a max HP of 10,353 and a max attack of 7,640. His stats are all right. His HP is below the SSR average by a lot, but it's close to the all cards average. His attack on the other hand is pretty high above both averages.

Spells

His spells are Forest Strike, Void Shot 2 and later Zero Ray 2, and Fire Shot 2.

Exam Rankings

I’d give him a C for flora exams, D for fire, and B for water when it comes to viability in those exams.

Skills

Kalim’s skills include power boost twice and nullify freeze. On spell 1 at level 1, he starts off with a minor power boost to caster for 1 turn. At level 5, it’s for 3 turns, and at level 10, it’s modest for 3 turns.
On spell 3, at level he’s got a nullify freeze to caster for 1 turn. At level 5, it’s to allies for 1 turn, and at level 10 he gains a minor power boost to caster for 1 turn.

DUO Magic and Buddies

For a DUO Magic partner, he’s got Cater, who also gives him a modest HP boost and nullify blind as buddy bonuses. His other buddies are Ruggie with a minor HP boost and Lilia who gives him a minor power boost.

Build Guide

To Groovy Kalim and get him that nice stat boost, you need to spend 5 Headdress Candy after hitting the requirements we talked about earlier. For spells, he needs green, white, and red items. Although it's a bit of a bigger investment, I would unlock and build spell 3 first because of that nullify freeze.

Dupes + Alternatives

As per usual, if you don’t get Playful Attire Kalim and you really needed him for a team, here’s some cards that are pretty similar to him.
My first suggestion is Cozy Clothes Leona. He has Lilia as a buddy, power boost, and nullify freeze. He has the same elements as Kalim, but they're all jumbled around. Overall, if you need Kalim for his nullify freeze and/or a team with Lilia, Leona would be a solid alternative.
Next is Lab Coat Trey. He's got Forest Strike, nullify freeze, and power boost. He also has fire and void spells but they don't line up. Trey's biggest con in my opinion is he has no matching buddies, BUT he has nullify freeze, two in fact, so that kind of makes up for it in my opinion. Overall, also a solid choice.
Our first budget option is everyone's favorite cursed card, Ceremonial Robes Kalim. He's attack, has Forest Strike, Void Shot 2, and double power boost. He unfortunately don't have nullify freeze or any shared buddies with Playful Attire Kalim, but if you need a super pared-down version, this Kalim will do.
and last but not least, we actually have a Playful Attire card: Jack. He's attack, has fire and flor aspells, Lilia as a buddy, and power boost. Jack doens't have a void spell and again, no nullify freeze, but hey, if you want a Playful Attire replacement specifically, this Jack can do it.

Teammates

So, let's move on from potential replacements to potential teammates. First up is Dorm Cater, who can activate Kalim's DUO Magic. Next is Dorm Jamil, who gets a buddy bonus from Kalim as well as a DUO Magic partner. And also he shares Lilia as a buddy. Speaking of Lilia, Dorm Lilia will give Kalim a buddy bonus. and finally, Nightmare courier Rook, Ceremonial Robes Idia, and Ceremonial Robes Jade all get bonuses from Kalim.

Final Thoughts

I love this Kalim and I miss him, since I lost the account I had him on. I like that he has some flexibility with that void spell, I love his nullify freeze, I love he has the potential to also at least receive nullify blind. Overall, love this Kalim.
