Apprentice Chef Malleus Card Analysis

Basics

Apprentice Chef Malleus is a SR Defense card with a max HP of 12,969 and a max attack of 3,540. His HP is incredibly good. He's currently ranked 10th in highest HP in SRs and he's been like that for a while now, so that's really nice. Now, because of the high HP, his attack is low. Very low, in fact. He's within the top 20 lowest attack in SRs, but I don't think anyone is super surprised to hear that given how skewed his HP is.

Spells

His spells are Fire Shot and later Flame Blast, and Water Shot 2.

Exam Rankings

I’d give him a F for flora exams, B for fire, and X for water when it comes to viability in those exams.

Skills

Malleus’ skill is resistance, and he has it twice. On spell 1, he starts off with a modest resistance to caster for 1 turn. It doesn't grow at all.
On spell 2, Malleus doesn't start off with anything but again, don't think that's really a surprise. He only gets a minor resistance to caster for 1 turn at spell level 5.

DUO Magic and Buddies

He’s got Deuce as a buddy, who gives him a minor power boost. His other buddy is Ruggie with a modest HP boost.

Build Guide

To Groovy Malleus, you'll need 3 Dragon Candy. For spells, he needs red and blue items.
Honestly, I think building either spell first is fine. Both should be built, and I think both have very solid arguments of what should be built first. Building spell 1 to get a stronger spell is good. Building spell 2 to get double resistance is good. I think this is a case of personal preference, so build whichever one you want first.

Comps

As per usual, we're gonna talk about similar cards to this Malleus, although hopefully he won't be too difficult for you to get if you don't already have him. First comp is Applepom Sebek. They're defense, have fire spells, Deuce as a buddy, and double resistance. The biggest downside to this Sebek is he isn't fire/water like Malleus is; he's flora/fire. He's still one of the most similar cards to Malleus but yeah if you need fire/water specifically this Sebek might pose some problems. But double resistance though.
Next up is Labwear Silver. He's defense, has Fire Shot/Flame Blast, and double resistance. Silver has a void spell 2 instead of water, so while it sucks it's not water, at least it's something that will never be a potential disadvantage. He doesn't share buddies with Malleus with really sucks. But again, super similar card and you can't really beat the double resistance. And spell combo. I have to admit I prefer this Silver over Sebek for that, but also we all know I have a grudge againt Applepom Sebek since he hates me.

Teammates

When it comes to potential teammates, he gives buddy bonuses to Nightmare Suit Idia, Beans Camo Cater, Seaside Suit Rook, and Dorm Lilia. He's Lilia's DUO Magic partner so he'll activate that. Dorm Ruggie will give this Malleus a buddy bonus, and then Apprentice Chef Ruggie both gives and gets buddy bonuses by being with this Malleus so. If you're a Ruggie stan, this card might be nice to invest in.

Final Thoughts

I'm sure it'll be no surprise to anyone that I love this card. Like yeah, it's Malleus, but this card is super useful. He's got super high HP and will be great for budget HP padding teams. He's got resistance twice so that'll be extremely useful. And like I mentioned a moment ago, if you're someone with a lot of Ruggie cards, Apprentice Chef Malleus might be a nice card to put into teams. The one downside to this Malleus is his very low attack, but overall, still a fantastic unit.

SSR Birthday Bloom Idia Card Analysis

Basics Idia is a SSR Attack unit. His max HP is 10,503 and his max attack is 6,665. Idia’s stats are solid. Great, even. Y’all know I look at the all cards averages and then just SSRs, and Idia’s stats are above all those averages except for one. His HP is below average for SSRs, but everything else is above average. That’s really good. Spells His spell 1 is Aqua Wave, his spell 2 is Fire Shot 2 and later Flame Blast 2, and his spell 3 is Void Shot 2. Exam Rankings When it comes to exams, I'd give this card a C for flora exams, B for fire, and D for water. So the theme this month has been characters’ skills bumping them up a bit when it comes to exams. Idia is the exact same way. Skills For skills, he’s got water boost, HP restoration, and damage cut. On spell 1 at level 1, he has a minor water boost to allies for 1 turn. At level 5, it’s modest, and at level 10, it maxes out at major. On spell 3, he starts off with nothing. At level 5, he gains a minor HP restoration, and...

SSR New Years Trey Card Analysis

Basics Trey is a SSR Attack unit. His max HP is 8,632 and his max attack is 7,667. Trey’s HP is below average when it comes to SSRs and all cards in general. However, his attack is above both of those averages. In fact, he’s actually the 7th strongest card in-game.   Spells His spell 1 is Zero Ray, his spell 2 is Leaf Shot 2 and later Forest Strike 2, and his spell 3 is Fire Shot 2.   Exam Rankings When it comes to exams, I'd give this card a C for flora exams, C for fire, and B for water.   Skills For skills, he’s got power boost twice and damage boost. On spell 1 at level 1, he has a minor power boost to caster for 1 turn. At level 5, it’s modest, and at level 10, it maxes out at major. On spell 3, he only gets that second skill at level 5. It’s a minor power drain on foes for 1 turn, and at level 10 he gains an additional minor damage boost to caster for 1 turn.   DUO Magic + Buddy Bonuses His DUO Magic Partner is Ortho with a modest HP boost. His other Bud...

The Harveston Sledathon Event Guide

Intro Kelkkarotu is here! I really love this event even though it took me 40 fucking polls just to get SR Sebek and I never did get Epel. Fun fact, this was the event that introduced the arrange feature, the one where you choose how characters wear like, their ceremonial robes with the hoods on or off, that feature. This event is super cute, so let's chat about it. Overview This is another stamp rally/hometown event and this time we're visiting Epel's hometown of Harveston. Players will have digital stamp cards to fill out and you get a stamp for completing a mission. Doing all the missions on a stamp card will get you a magical key. You'll also earn clocks from this and those can be used in the event shop. The other event item is apple pies. Get those from lessons and they can be used in the event shop or  raising spell levels, etc, etc. There's no battle for this event thank God. It has 2 twistunes, though. There's 5 books in the story, but that's typica...
