Apprentice Chef Jamil Card Analysis

Basics

Jamil is a SR Attack unit. His max HP is 7,061 and his max attack is 6,070. His HP is super low, being below both the SR and all cards averages. His attack however, is above both of those averages. He's ranked 28th in highest attack for SRs, so he's just barely missing out on top 25.

Spells

His spell 1 is Water Shot which later becomes Aqua Wave and his spell 2 is Leaf Shot 2.

Exams Rankings

Now let’s talk viability in exams. I'd give this card a X for flora exams, F for fire, and B for water.

Skills

For skills, he’s got damage boost. On spell 1 at level 1, he has a modest damage boost to caster for 1 turn. and that's it. It doesn't grow from there. At level 5 his spell upgrades so yeah I mean, you should build it, but skills-wise nothing happens.
Over on spell 2, he starts off with nothing. On level 5, it’s a minor damage boost to caster for 1 turn, so that's something.

Buddy Bonuses

His Buddies are Deuce with a modest HP boost and Azul who gives him a minor power boost.

Build Guide

So to recap building this Jamil, he needs 3 Cobra Candy to be groovied. For spells, he needs blue and green items.
I'd build his spell 1 first since that spell upgrades into a stronger one. Yeah, that's all I really got for him.

Comps

So some similar cards to this Jamil are Beans Camo Jack and Gala Couture Ace. Jack is attack, has flora and water spells, Azul as a buddy, and damage boost. Where Jamil is water/flora, Jack is flora/water but I'm gonna be honest I don't think this is much of a problem. His other buddy isn't shared with Jamil which I think is a bigger problem but still, incredibly close card to Jamil.
Ace is attack, has Aqua Wave, Leaf Shot 2, and damage boost twice. Something I really love about this Ace is that unlike Jamil, you don't have to build spell 1 to get Aqua Wave; he just comes with it. The biggest downside to this Ace though is that he has no shared buddies so that might be a little wonky with team formations and stuff, but overall Ace is fairly close to Jamil.

Teammates

A potential teammate that can benefit this Jamil is Dorm Azul, who gives him a buddy bonus. Teammates where Jamil gives them buddy bonuses are Apprentice Chef Grim, Tsumsitter Ace, Labwear Ruggie, Ceremonial Sebek, and Dorm Uniform Kalim. In Kalim's case, this Jamil activates that DUO Magic in addition to giving bonuses.

Analysis

Overall, I kind of have mixed feelings about this Jamil. I like that he has a very nice attack stat. Like we've covered, it's above average, so he could be nice for budget teams that need a little extra oomph for attack. And since he's gonna be in the standard banner and super easy to get, that's fantastic! My biggest problem with this Jamil though is that he's a bit of a build-intensive unit. We should all be building our cards, and I think it's good he starts off with a modest damage boost, but to get Aqua Wave you have to build for it. For the extra damage boost, you have to build for it.
I'm kind of flipflopping around whether or not to call Jamil a plug and play unit. Because on one hand, he's got modest damage boost and so long as you're loading him up on honey, higher attack than other SRs. But on the other hand, he does NOT start off with a strong spell 1 and a second skilll, so like, is that enough to NOT call him plug and play? Like it feels like it could go either way for me and yeah.
This Jamil is in no way a bad unit, but he DOES need a little more building than other units might need.

SSR Birthday Bloom Idia Card Analysis

Basics Idia is a SSR Attack unit. His max HP is 10,503 and his max attack is 6,665. Idia’s stats are solid. Great, even. Y’all know I look at the all cards averages and then just SSRs, and Idia’s stats are above all those averages except for one. His HP is below average for SSRs, but everything else is above average. That’s really good. Spells His spell 1 is Aqua Wave, his spell 2 is Fire Shot 2 and later Flame Blast 2, and his spell 3 is Void Shot 2. Exam Rankings When it comes to exams, I'd give this card a C for flora exams, B for fire, and D for water. So the theme this month has been characters’ skills bumping them up a bit when it comes to exams. Idia is the exact same way. Skills For skills, he’s got water boost, HP restoration, and damage cut. On spell 1 at level 1, he has a minor water boost to allies for 1 turn. At level 5, it’s modest, and at level 10, it maxes out at major. On spell 3, he starts off with nothing. At level 5, he gains a minor HP restoration, and...

SSR New Years Trey Card Analysis

Basics Trey is a SSR Attack unit. His max HP is 8,632 and his max attack is 7,667. Trey’s HP is below average when it comes to SSRs and all cards in general. However, his attack is above both of those averages. In fact, he’s actually the 7th strongest card in-game.   Spells His spell 1 is Zero Ray, his spell 2 is Leaf Shot 2 and later Forest Strike 2, and his spell 3 is Fire Shot 2.   Exam Rankings When it comes to exams, I'd give this card a C for flora exams, C for fire, and B for water.   Skills For skills, he’s got power boost twice and damage boost. On spell 1 at level 1, he has a minor power boost to caster for 1 turn. At level 5, it’s modest, and at level 10, it maxes out at major. On spell 3, he only gets that second skill at level 5. It’s a minor power drain on foes for 1 turn, and at level 10 he gains an additional minor damage boost to caster for 1 turn.   DUO Magic + Buddy Bonuses His DUO Magic Partner is Ortho with a modest HP boost. His other Bud...

SR Apple Pom Idia

Intro Our other limited use card for Sledathon is Idia. He’s an attack void/water unit. His max HP is 5,888 and his max attack is 5,136. His HP is below average for SRs and his attack is above average. Spells Idia’s spell 1 is Void Shot and his spell 2 is Water Shot 2. Exams Rankings My rankings for Idia are as follows: X for flora exams, B for fire, and C for water. Skills Attached to Void Shot is a power boost to caster. At level 1, it's a minor boost for 1 turn and at level 5, it's moderate. And for Water Shot 2, he has a damage cut to foes. It's tiny and for 1 turn at level 5, and then minor at level 10. Buddy Bonuses Idia’s Buddies are Jack and Epel, who give him a moderate HP boost and minor power boost respectively. Build Guide As the SR unit, you will need to clear the event story AND earn at max 800 apple pies to make him permanent. Like I said in the event guide, that was the number JP players had [Editor's note: iirc EN DID lower the amount, but I don't...
